Commissioning: Day 7 - Finishing Touches & Complete Photos

Guided Discovery
When we arrived around noon as Paul was about to hang "Shell Ribbon," our glass art sculpture.  We immediately proceeded to work with Paul on the right placement.

The piece is 48"x 6".  When we bought it we thought it be would mounted on the starboard forward bulkhead.  That is the area immediately to the right of the galley stairs.  It is 33" wide by 60" high.  Unfortunately, we forgot that the ceiling covers the upper half of that area.  This meant that the top part of the piece would be cut off when you initially viewed it from the salon door.

Shell Ribbon finds a home.  Kodi, comfortable as always
The alternative location was the galley bulkhead, an area that called for something.  Shell Ribbon proved to be just right.  The piece is very nautical with sea urchins and shells on a series of  five waves.  It looks great and we are pleased with its placement.

The striking thing about today's visit was the absence of protective floor coverings and no clutter.  The main deck is complete except for the window treatments.

Enjoy a walk through the main deck:

We stayed aboard until 3:00 PM.  We had a few things to do but mostly we enjoyed being in the spaces.  The 63 is simply a very comfortable, pleasant and inviting place to be.
